They unanimously agreed that China has the capability to design and manufacture large blowers ranging from 4000 to 5800m3, and the design and manufacturing of large blast furnace blowers can be completely localized.
Blast furnace blowers are key equipment for supplying air to blast furnaces in ironmaking. Large blast furnace blower units refer to the power supply equipment for large blast furnaces with a capacity of over 4000m3, with airflow reaching 7000 to 10000 Nm3/min and driving power ranging from 30000 kW to 60000 kW. They mainly consist of large blowers, automatic control systems, electrical control systems, and drive motors. Currently, there are 20 large blast furnaces of 4000 to 5500m3 built worldwide, with China having 4 of them, but all the supporting large blast furnace blower units are manufactured abroad. As the metallurgical industry in China moves towards larger blast furnaces, more than 10 large blast furnaces of 4000 to 5500m3 are under construction or planned.
Shaanxi Blower is the only company in China capable of designing and manufacturing large blast furnace blower units. To date, it has produced over 20 large blast furnace blowers with a flow rate exceeding 7000 Nm3/min, with technical parameters covering the airflow and pressure requirements for 4000 to 5500m3 blast furnaces. At the demonstration meeting, the expert group fully recognized the production capacity, quality assurance system, and after-sales service of Shaanxi Blower's large blast furnace blower units, and suggested that relevant national departments strengthen the organization, coordination, and guidance of the localization process for super-large blast furnace blower units, and provide policy incentives to manufacturers and users of large equipment during trial production and application.
