A fan is a device that generates negative pressure by rotating an impeller to extract air from a system (equipment), usually installed at the end of a boiler to extract hot smoke from the furnace. In daily life, fans are typically categorized based on their use of positive or negative pressure into exhaust fans (using negative pressure) and supply fans (using positive pressure).
Induced draft fanis a device that generates negative pressure through the rotation of the impeller to extract air from the system (equipment), usually installed at the end of the boiler to extract hot smoke from the furnace.
In daily life, fans are usually divided into fans (using negative pressure) and fans (using positive pressure) according to their usage modes of positive and negative pressure.

Induced draft fans are widely used for ventilation, dust discharge, and cooling in factories, mines, tunnels, cooling towers, vehicles, ships, and buildings. They are used for ventilation and air intake in boilers and industrial furnaces; cooling ventilation for air conditioning equipment and household appliances; grain drying and selection; wind tunnel wind sources and the expansion and propulsion of air-cushion vehicles, etc. The working principle of induced draft fans is basically the same as that of turbo compressors. However, due to the low gas flow rate and minimal pressure changes, it is generally unnecessary to handle gas volume changes with incompressible fluids, that is, gases.
How is the wear-resistant ceramic treatment of induced draft fans?
Wear-resistant ceramic fans and impellers are synthesized with wear-resistant ceramics at severely worn parts such as the fan impeller, volute, inlet, damper, and pipeline system, while optimizing the impeller shape and casing using three-source flow theory to form fan equipment with higher wear resistance or new functions. Wear-resistant fans adopt new fan design technology, ceramic-metal composite manufacturing technology, polymer composite ceramic technology, vacuum bonding technology, cold welding and gas shielded welding technology, and non-destructive testing technology, providing the surface layer with the current advanced technological level.
Induced draft fanPerformance characteristics:
Due to the hardness of the composite ceramic layer on the working surface of the fan impeller being HRA86 (reinforced alumina composite material), some severely worn areas use secondary sintered silicon nitride ceramics or zirconia-reinforced alumina ceramics, which can reach HRA94 or higher. The internal particle erosion wear performance is more than five times better than general tungsten carbide welding, spray welding, alloy powder block welding, and other general processing methods, and is over 100 times better than gas 16Mn steel. A 1.5 mm thick ceramic fragment has been in actual use for 5 years, with an average wear of less than 0.2 mm.
Coverage range of induced draft fans:
Wear-resistant fan impellers have a wide range of applications, primarily depending on the working temperature of the fan, unaffected by the wear medium. According to the working temperature, the usage range of wear-resistant ceramic fans is divided into three fields:
Normal temperature operating range: temperature below 120 degrees Celsius, using existing polymer composite technology.
Medium temperature operating range: temperature between 120 and 180 degrees Celsius, using high-temperature polymers and cold welding technology.
High temperature operating range: temperature between 180 and 380 degrees Celsius, using ceramic-metal welding high-temperature polymer material technology.
