RTO incinerators are used in many industries. As long as there are organic waste gas emissions in a factory, it is hard not to see RTO waste gas. Below, we will discuss the application of RTO incinerators in the carbon fiber industry.

Incineration furnace

The term carbon fiber may be unfamiliar to many, but when it comes to products made from carbon fiber, everyone is certainly familiar, such as airplanes and computer disks. Due to its higher strength than steel, corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, and conductivity, it is widely used in various electronic products, petrochemical products, and medical devices. However, during the production process of carbon fiber, a large amount of harmful organic waste gas is generated during air oxidation and the entire carbonization process of high and low-temperature tests, thus requiring waste gas treatment equipment to address whether carbon fiber enterprises can meet emission standards.

Industrial-scale production of carbon fiber includes polypropylene cyanide carbon fiber, asphalt-based carbon fiber, and viscose carbon fiber. The exhaust gas generated during the production process mainly consists of short fibers, tar, carbon monoxide, etc. Some of these also contain highly toxic hydrogen cyanide. Therefore, if this exhaust gas is not treated, it will not only harm the environment and human health but also affect the sustainable development of enterprises. It is believed that as a carbon fiber production enterprise, the requirement for waste gas treatment is to meet the emission standards set by the government while protecting the health of factory workers and nearby residents, without damaging the ecological and air environment. Based on experience, hydrogen cyanide can be completely decomposed at 850 degrees, and it is recommended to use RTO.Incineration furnaceThe working temperature of the RTO incineration furnace can reach 750-950 degrees, which can completely decompose hydrogen cyanide. Although some other equipment can reach high temperatures of 850 degrees, they consume a large amount of fuel (natural gas). The ceramic heat exchanger in the RTO incineration furnace can store heat for use in the next incineration of waste gas, significantly reducing fuel consumption and saving energy. RTO incineration furnaces come in two-chamber and three-chamber designs, with valves that can switch the flow direction of waste gas within the furnace. Additionally, they are equipped with an exhaust system, a PLC automatic control system, and a fuel system.

When the RTO incineration furnace is in operation, it first needs to purge the furnace chamber, then ignite natural gas to raise the temperature. When the temperature inside the furnace reaches 850 degrees, the waste gas is introduced for combustion, and then the waste gas can be discharged through steps from heat storage chamber 1 to combustion chamber 2 to the heat exchanger. Some waste gases need to be treated repeatedly in a clockwise and counterclockwise manner for incineration. Currently, the two-chamber RTO can achieve a treatment efficiency of 95%, while the three-chamber RTO can achieve a 99% efficiency in treating organic waste gas.

Three-tier RTOIncineration furnaceThe equipment has multiple explosion-proof measures, ensuring high safety. The PLC automatic control system also has data collection and remote control functions. Most of the equipment is assembled in the factory and has a short on-site assembly time.

The above is some knowledge about RTO incineration furnaces, hoping it can help everyone.
