The incinerator is an environmental protection device for burning waste gases, waste liquids, solid waste, toxic gases (such as paint fumes), toxic rocket propellants, medical waste, household waste, animal carcasses, and more. At high temperatures, it reduces or lowers the quantity while utilizing the thermal energy of certain incineration media. It is divided into fixed incinerators and mobile incinerators. So, what are the characteristics of incinerators? Let's take a look together.

  An incinerator is an environmental device for burning waste gases, waste liquids, solid waste, toxic gases (such as paint fumes), toxic rocket propellants, medical waste, household waste, animal carcasses, etc. It operates at high temperatures to reduce or lower the quantity of waste while utilizing the thermal energy of certain combustion media. It can be classified into fixed and mobile incinerators.IncineratorSo, what are the characteristics of an incinerator? Let's take a look.

  Characteristics of an incinerator:

  1. Strong stirring effect to ensure that waste burns evenly and fully across the entire grate surface, preventing slagging;

  2. The combustion equipment should be capable of adapting to sudden fluctuations in waste composition (moisture or calorific value);

  3. Preheated combustion air (primary and secondary air);

  4. Some additives can be added to reduce emissions of harmful substances such as NOx and SOx;

  5. Ensure low carbon content in ash (1-3%) and good combustibility.

  Sludge incineration is currently a very hot topic. Next, we will focus on drying and incineration, using a sludge dryer to dry sludge with 80% moisture content. After drying, it becomes granular. It is first sent to a dedicated incinerator for burning, and the high-temperature flue gas generated from incineration is sent to the dryer to dry the sludge. Of course, this direct drying and incineration requires auxiliary fuel, meaning that pure sludge can only be dried and burned with auxiliary fuel. The core equipment is the dryer, which has some special structures. It rotates and crushes the sludge and dries it through heat exchange with high-temperature flue gas.

  There is also a special rotary type.IncineratorOf course, this type of incinerator can actually use other incinerators to burn dried sludge, such as fluidized bed incinerators. The drying and incineration technology in the world has high efficiency, relatively low investment, small footprint, and low energy consumption, offering some outstanding advantages. However, some factories have already been built and do not have the conditions to install a set of drying equipment, which may require the construction of sludge drying facilities in relatively distant locations. Therefore, in such cases, indirect drying using steam may be more suitable for long-distance transportation, which is a method of indirect drying.

  Additionally, many cities already have waste treatment facilities or are planning to do so, but some cities cannot handle sludge. So now we have a technology that mixes garbage and sludge for incineration. The core equipment includes a sludge dryer and a traditional grate incinerator. The hot flue gas generated from waste incineration is used to dry wet sludge, and then the higher calorific value dried sludge is sent for incineration.IncineratorAs long as the mixing ratio is not too high, for example, if the mixing ratio is less than 20%, it basically has no impact on the overall power generation efficiency of the plant. At the same time, the sludge is treated again. It can be said that using a sludge dryer and some supporting conveying equipment for reprocessing sludge is a very good technology. It can also incinerate a small amount of industrial waste and straw.
