The application and development of waste incineration technology abroad has a history of several decades, and there are several relatively mature types of furnaces such as pulse throwaway incinerators, mechanical incinerators, fluidized bed incinerators, rotary incinerators, and CAO incinerators. Below is a brief introduction to these types of furnaces.
The application and development of waste incineration technology abroad has a history of several decades, with several relatively mature furnace types such as pulse throw type.IncineratorMechanical incinerators, fluidized bed incinerators, rotary incinerators, and CAO incinerators. Below is a brief introduction to these types of furnaces.
1. Mechanical Incinerator
Working principle: Waste enters the inclined grate through the hopper and is pushed downward due to the interleaved movement, passing through various zones until it is completely burned and discharged from the furnace. Combustion air enters from the bottom and mixes with it; high-temperature flue gas passes through the boiler heating surface to generate steam while being cooled. It is then discharged after being treated.
Characteristics: High material requirements and processing precision. The contact surfaces must be quite smooth, with very small gaps. Additionally, the mechanical structure is complex, with a high failure rate, significant maintenance needs, and high costs for construction and maintenance, making its promotion and application in China very challenging.
2. Low-Temperature Magnetization Degradation Furnace
The furnace body consists of a porous distribution plate. A large amount of quartz sand is added to the furnace, heated to above 600 degrees, and hot air above 200 degrees is blown into the bottom of the furnace to make the hot sand boil. Waste is then added, boiling together with the hot sand, quickly drying and igniting. The unburned waste has a relatively low specific weight and continues to boil, while the heavier components settle to the bottom of the furnace. After cooling with water, coarse and fine ash are sent out of the factory by sorting equipment, while a small amount of medium ash is returned to the furnace for continued use.
Characteristics: Fluidized bed combustion is thorough, with good control inside the furnace, but it produces a lot of dust, is complex to operate, has higher operating costs, and requires high uniformity of fuel particle size, necessitating high-power crushing equipment, leading to severe equipment wear and significant maintenance needs.
3. Rotary IncineratorIncinerator
The rotary incinerator is equipped with cooling water pipes or refractory materials along the furnace body, which is placed horizontally and slightly inclined. Continuous operation allows for thorough combustion of waste while moving in the direction of the incline until completely burned.
Characteristics: High utilization, low carbon content in ash, low excess air coefficient, and minimal harmful gas emissions, but it is difficult to control and challenging to burn when the calorific value is low.
4. CAO Incinerator
Waste is transported to a storage pit and enters a biochemical treatment pool, where it is dehydrated under the action of microorganisms, breaking down natural organic matter into powder, while other solids, including synthetic organic and inorganic materials like plastics and rubber, cannot be decomposed or crushed. After screening, the waste that cannot be crushed first enters the incinerator's first chamber (at a temperature of 600 degrees), and the combustible gas produced then enters the second chamber, while the non-combustible and non-pyrolyzable components are discharged from the first chamber in the form of ash.
Friendly reminder: Online monitoring of operational status should be implemented.IncineratorThe project should at least include monitoring of the incinerator's combustion temperature, furnace chamber pressure, oxygen content at the flue gas outlet, and carbon monoxide content. A sign should be prominently displayed to automatically show the main parameters of the incinerator's operating conditions and the online data of the main pollutants in the flue gas.
