In many industrial enterprises and factories, blowers can be seen. The main function of the blower is to enhance air circulation, cool down, and reduce toxic gases, which is crucial for workers' safety. Nowadays, exhaust fans and blowers are widely used in enterprises, so let's take a look at the differences between exhaust fans and blowers!

Performance Characteristics of Induced Draft Fans
Due to the hardness of the composite ceramic layer on the working surface of the fan impeller being HRA86 (reinforced alumina composite material), when using secondary sintered silicon nitride reinforced ceramics or zirconia reinforced alumina ceramics in areas of severe local wear, it can reach above HRA94, with a practical usage thickness of 1.5mm for the ceramic sheet.
Induced Draft FanApplicable Range
The wear-resistant fan blades can last up to 5 years, with an average wear of less than 0.2 millimeters.
The usage range of the wheels is very broad, mainly determined by the working temperature of the blower, unaffected by the wear medium. Depending on the different usage temperatures, the wear-resistant ceramic fans can be divided into three fields: normal temperature usage range: temperature below 120, using conventional polymer composite technology.
Medium temperature working range: temperature between 120-180, using high-temperature resistant polymers and cold welding technology.
High temperature working range: temperature between 180-380, using high-temperature polymer material technology based on ceramic-metal welding.
Basic Characteristics of Induced Draft Fans
Blowers rotate within the body, thus there is no friction, and no lubrication is needed, with the discharged gas being oil-free. They are ideal pneumatic conveying sources for the chemical and food industries.
Blowers are volumetric rotary blowers. During use, the flow variation is very small with changes in pressure. However, the flow will change with the speed. Therefore, the pressure selection range is large, and flow selection needs to be done by choosing the speed.
Due to the high speed of the blower, the gaps between rotors and between the rotor and the body are small, resulting in less leakage and high volumetric efficiency.
The structure of the fan determines that its mechanical friction loss is very small. Since only the bearings and gear pairs are in mechanical contact with the selected components, the rotor, casing, and gears have sufficient mechanical strength. Safe operation and long lifespan are major features of blower products.
The rotors of blowers must undergo static and dynamic balance checks. The finished product operates smoothly with minimal vibration.
Blowers with the above characteristics mainly include Roots blowers, side flow blowers, and multi-stage centrifugal blowers.
The above introduces the differences between induced draft fans and blowers.Induced Draft FanIf you need to know more, feel free to contact us!
